Yes, Customers have access to the courses 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Login to learn, anytime you want.
WHEN CAN I START LEARNING?
Once the company is set up and paid, the administrator will receive a list of user ID’s and passwords. This process typical takes less than 48 hours.
WHAT IF I FORGET WHERE I STOPPED ON A PARTICULAR COURSE?
Our bookmarking feature is activated when you hit the exit button to leave a course. The next time you log into that same course, it takes you to the page that you were last working on.

Our easy-to-use navigation system allows you to scroll back and forward within each course, or use the course index to select specific topics within the course. There is an orientation video at the beginning of each course.

Are there time requirments on COURSEs?
YES. Courses that have professional continuing education hours or have regulatory mandated hours are timed. These courses require you to view all slides and videos and require you to spend a minimum number of hours in the course. There are instructional videos on how to log your time in each course.
CAN I GET LICENSED/CERTIFIED TAKING ONLINE COURSES?
Our training is used by persons working in the addiction industry for continuing education or workforce development purposes. There are educational institutions that can assist you in obtaining professional licensure. We do have a course for persons studying to take their Texas Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) test, however this is a study guide course and has no continuing or other educational credit attached to it.
WHAT ARE CERTIFICATES OF COMPLETION?
A certificate of completion shows that you answered 70% or more of the course questions correctly. You have the option to print a certificate of completion with your name on it. These are often requested by your human resources staff and by licensing boards. You can print a certificate at any time from your transcripts screen.
CAN SOMEONE ELSE USE MY LOG IN TO TAKE TRAINING AND GET CREDIT?
It is illegal to allow others access to the training courses that you paid for; only one person may use a login ID. Each user must pay for the courses they take. If you share the courses, you will be violating the license agreement and the students training/CEU’s will be invalidated. Because your professional license is tied to your continuing education credits as well as state training requirements for treatment facilities, allowing someone else to use your log in is considered “falsification of a government record” and in many states it is a felony. Our laws around technology security are becoming very strict; it is in your best interest to keep your user information secure and do your own training.

There are many parts of the United State where internet service is limited and/or systems run slower than broadband. Even in areas with broadband or cellular service, speeds can be slower depending on how many people are using your network both at the site and in the community. Most public internet and cellular systems share many users. There are several things you can do to increase your speed including varying user times and device on your network. Knowing the IT infrastructure of your organization and community will help you to plan better. Please go to our user resources page for tools to check your system speed and broadband maps for more information.

Approval Boards For Our Professional Continuing Education Courses

Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council

The Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council, which licenses social workers, professional counselors, marriage and family therapists, and psychologists does not approve continuing education providers any longer. Instead, the Council has adopted rules that outline what is considered appropriate continuing education. This means a licensee can receive continuing education from any person or organization that provides the education in accordance with the Council’s rules. No approval by the Council is needed for the individual or organization to engage in the delivery of continuing education. Licensees are still audited for continuing education compliance and during those reviews, staff evaluate the continuing education documentation submitted. As an “approved provider” with HHSC, BHC Training may continue to provide continuing education without having to renew. Please review the continuing education rules specific to your license for more information at:
